Thunder headers are really loud, but the appearance after a year or two is by far the worst IMO. Rinehart TDs are loud and really loud on a big inch motor. I took the RH TDs off after I built the 103, couldn't hear the radio anymore. Got a Borzilla with a quiet baffle now on the 120, loud but not overly so.
Why do you want the loudest pipes you can get on a bagger-just asking is all?

I will never understand why anyone wants to make a TOURING bike excessively loud. Just makes no sense to me.

I am looking for the Loudest dual exhaust for my 99 electra glide. I was thinking of going with the Vance Hines?

From what I understand, Samson pipes are some of the loudest overall, but (at least when I was initially looking at pipes) they don't have the best performance numbers. I went with the Thunderheaders (2-1 though, no false pipe) for the best combination of sound/performance. I actually got them from maineultraclassic almost 2 years ago, and they have held up great!

vance and hines true duals here and rush 2 1/2" slip ons. sounds great, pretty throaty. I saw a guy a while back that had straight pipes ( about 1 1/2") sticking out the back, looked bad and sounded worse. this was on a fairly new bagger. I'd like to hear some samsons, they're sposed to be very loud. and as we all know sound is a subjective thing. If you likem loud go for it. Where I am the LEOS don't pay much attention to them. I've never heard of anyone getting a loud muffler ticket aroundhere.
