Pipe Dreams lmao....
In the process of reading and reading on moving up to a 95 " build. I know from reading that a 2/1 set of pipes give ya the most bang for the buck torque wise. However, call me a traditionalist but I cannot get over the damn lop sided look. Personal preference I guess. I know it sounds like a screwey idea I am sure but if someone made a good 2/1 that also included a "false" left sided pipe to retain the looks of my V&H Tru Duals while still giving ya pure all out torque, I think I'd be considering it.
Like the subject says, pipe dreams lmao. I know I am tired when I dream this crap up. Didn't sleep worth a damn last night, the ole lady snored all damn night lol. If she does it again tonight, yall may see me on CNN in the morning

Yep, I know for a fact that D and D makes a false left pipe. Here's a pic of one hanging on a wall. I, like you, really like the looks of a 2-2 system, but would like the 2-1 performance. If, and a big if, I can ever scrape enough extra to do a 98"
or 95" kit, I will have to go this route. I just can't see spending the money, and still not develope the engine to it's max performance, IMO.

If you retain your stock crossover you'll get as close to a 2-1 system as you can get. The stock system nearly shuts down the left side pipe on acceleration anyway.
Personally I saw a bike with a 2-1 with a fake left system and it looked kind of goofy for a couple of reasons -- 1. I knew it was a fake left side and that struck me as just...fake, frankly. It's like when someone puts Indian accessories on their Honda. 2. It made it look like it was some kind of 3 cylinder exhaust with a V-twin engine (because that 2-1 on the right side is obviously a 2-1)and 3. I couldn't imagine spending money on something that is purely cosmetic but that fakes something that is useful. Purely cosmetic like chrome, yes, but something that is there to pretty it up and also looks like something that is functional but it isn't...that's just wrong somehow.
Of course my opinion is worthless but I thought I'd give you another view.
