HORRIBLE bike wreck

RE: HORRIBLE bike wreck
Nobody is forced to click a link to a wreck. Whether it make you aware, paranoid or sick isn't the point.
If it saves one of us by making them a little more aware of the impact of not looking both ways at an intersection it's worth it. Remember, we don't ignore the risk, we manage risk everytime we throw a leg over.

Cage had a red light, bike had the green light.
Doesn't even look like the cage hit the brakes, he just tried to swerve at the last minute.

RE: HORRIBLE bike wreck
You can hear the tires squeel just before impact. I'm guessing that he was talking on his cell when he ran the light. I see it every day here in my town. Driving and talking on the phone don't mix. We have a law now and I can't wait to start seeing it enforced. $100 fine for talking on a cell phone without a hands-free kit. Will the law help? Maybe. The drivers will still be talking but at least they will be driving with both hands.
