Default Fairing Air "Wings" on Ultra

Do the 2006 Ultras come stock with the fairing air blocking "wings"? I know you can get them from the Harley dealer, do they work?

I didn't notice them so much on warmer days, but a large difference on cold days. Rode back
from work on a 30 degree evening with them removed and large amounts of cold air up the helmet.
No problem with them on.

If you are talking about the transparent wind deflectors on the sides of the fairing, then the answer is yes.
And I've been riding her all this week (high 20's to low 40's in the morning) and have not froze my face off from wind coming under the helment. (3/4 helmet)

Stephen,

I put soft lowers on the engine guards of my Street Glide, and with the batwing wind deflectors the wind is now hitting me from about the mid-point of my shins to my knees/top of my thighs. How much wind gets to your legs with the larger fixed lower fairing on your Ultra?

TIA

I bought a pair of adjustable air deflectors. I can open them up in the heat and they force air up to my chest and face or just close them like normal defletors. They come in clear or smoke. I can not remember the company name, but if anyone is interested, I'll try to find it.

I put the upper fairing shields on my Ultra and they moved the wind out some and not up my chest to the face. I now feel some at the elbows and some around my knees and lower thighs. Well worth the money spent for cold weather riding. Easy to remove for the warmer weather too!

Mickey that is a different product than what I have. I ones that I was talking about replace the deflectors that mount on the side of the batwing. I can't add a pic since I am on a different computer but if you go to my photo gallery you can see them. It was open in the pic.

Yours look a lot cleaner than what I found. Can you locate the company name and a part number?

I bought mine locally but I found this. Nice video of how they work.
