I got a pair from Leatherup.com that is pretty good. They are insulated and the insulation is removeable.

I bought a set of chaps from a leather retailer and they fit poorly and the buckle was cheap. I would be standing in a crowd and look down and my chaps would be around my ankles. Very embarrasing. GO BUY THE HARLEY CHAPS!......You'll be glad you did. Bldr

HD leather is overpriced, there are a lot of good leathers out there, FoxCreek is one. I for one, don't like leather chaps, blame it on the Village People. I prefer textile chaps and just got a great pair from Colorado Chaps and got their Heavy Duty Kevlar chaps with 3m reflective stripe and they are fantastic!

I noticed a lot of the parts and clothing from the stealer comes from the great wall... So, I don't see any quality issues buying from some other vendor ... Most sell stuff made in china now-days....

Chaps don't keep the "key areas" warm when ridin in cold weather. So I bought a pair of Gerbing heated pants. Maybe I'm not a true rider, but you can bet your a$$ that I'll never wear chaps again.
