Default NAV System Install?

My buddy just bought a SE Ultra. He's willing to let me use his CD's to install the software for the navigation system on my Streetglide. Will it work?

At $1000 bucks a pop for the NAV upgrade, you really think HD would make it that easy? Buy a Zumo, it blows the factory system away.

There's more to it than that. I believe there's a GPS unit that plugs into the back of the radio. I also thing the CD's are keyed to where they will only work on the unit they come with. Once you plug the unit into the radio the radio knows it's there.

Thanks guys, kinda what I figured. Just had to ask. Think I would run any risk by putting the cd in and trying it? I don't want it to get stuck in there or anything.

We just came back from a trip togetherand he offered, but I wouldn't do it till I asked here first.

Kidding about what?? Do you really believe it's just a matter of putting a CD in the radio to get Nav Sys activated? Look it up if you dont believe me. A UNIT PLUGS IN THE BACK OF THE RADIO.
