Default Exhaust vs Passenger Peg

I have an '02 RK with Reinhart True Duals and the left pipe comes very close to the passenger's left side peg (floorboard... whatever). I don't want to alienate my lady friend by frying her leg. Has anyone dealt with this issue?

Yup, remove the backrest and have her wrap her legs around you Works great, till you have to stop and put your feet down.

I'm looking at some kind of guard to put on the passenger floorboard to keep her boot off the heat shield. Here are some sites: http://www.jsjacks.com/

Haven't talked myself into spending the money yet.

Hay, sorry for the straight answer . . . I'm not a comic like some others.

Kuryakyn makes a set of off sets that allows you to move the location of the pegs, adjustable. Might be what you are looking for.

I have RH True Duals on my '07 and I got a pair of heel guards for the passengerfrom Dennis Kirk. They won't help with the heat, however they will keep her boots off of the pipes. The part is heel guard and interior and the part number is #493056. They were $73 delivered to the door. Easy to install, however you do have to put the provided spacer on the left side. May need to drill it out a bit to fit. It will move the left side floor board out about 3/4" which may help with the heat a bit.
