Hi, can't help you out with a link, but...

You'd prolly be better off buying pre-drilled bars as you really need an elongated slot at the base of the bars to make it easier to pull the wires thru, which would be difficult to cut. I put pre-drilled Flanders bars on my '97 softail. Beautiful chrome bars and reasonably priced. I believe they cost me $69 or $79, of course, that was back in '98.

Internal wiring on 1 inch bars is a bit tight, you would be much better with 1 1/4 inch replacements. Here;s a link that may be helpfull https://www.hdforums.com/m_67666/tm.htm

I agree with both above, Buy a new set of bars that are pre drilled and at least 1 1/4" thick I've had pre drilled 1" bars and it's a pain in the *** to snake the wires threw. 1 1/4" bars are a easy and they look better to.

I just ran the wires internally on my wide glide 1" bars last week. What I did was took the bars off and for the hole on the bottom I drilled 3 holes close together and cut them into 1 long hole with a cutting wheel on a dremel then rounded them alittle more with a carbide grinding bit. Same for the upper holes but I only drilled 2 holes there and connected them. The most important thing is to make sure you get all of the burres off or you WILL nick a wire. To fish the wires I first ran a piece of 12 ga solid copper wire through and taped the wires to it. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm sure it would have been easier with 1 1/4 bars but I bought my bike used and the guy I bought it from already changed the stock bars out for 1 " chrome bars so I really didn't see the need to buy new ones since I liked the look of what's there.
Do a google search for "internal handlebar wiring" you will get a lot of links with some good info.

Great information on this sight for wiring bars
I just have a (stupid) question........
I have 1" mini apes for my 2000 FXD... holes are drilled..
cables + brake line are bought..wiring is all set-when I put a wide glide frt end on
-had to-- cut ,solder, shrunk I will just redue
when I put the wires inside the bars do I leave them in the black sleeve ON
or remove the wires
I told you it was stupid but instead of finding out the hard way I'm asking

thanks
Mont

I ran the wires on my SG, 1" bars a couple of weeks ago. I did the bars just like "jv225" did his. It was a real pain in the butt, but I got'r done. I did leave the black rubber cover on the wires. The left side went pretty easy, but the right was tight. I had the cruise control added to the right side.

Hey we are all different - go to the Chubby bars Wild1'S - you will be so happy and wondered why you would ride with 1" bars - of course this is just my .02 here ....

Wanting the internal wiring is a Great excuse to buy the new bars...
