going back to limited production
i heard thru a pretty good source that Harley is going back to a Limited Production bike ordering process again..you know where you're waiting and waiting for you new bike to come in that you ordered months in advance...some of you may have heard this , but it was new to me , so im posting it for those who might be thinking of going in for a new one soon...

RE: going back to limited production
My cousin lives a half mile from MMI and when they get out of school I hear them roaring by down the road.
I can just imagine how many of these guys will be out of work when the bikes stop coming out like they have been.
There're still plenty to be serviced, but there's lots of mechanics out there already too.
Wonder if they'll be laying off soon?

RE: going back to limited production
This doesn't sound like a smart move for HD. A lot of the guys I know riding metrics went that direction because they "wouldn't play the over msrp and wait months for your bike" game with HD. For a lot of guys a new bike isn't something they plan for months in advance. Theywander intoa dealership, see something they like and next thing they know it kind of follows them home. We have become a "I want it now" society and if HD doesn't have product ready to be delivered, the manufactures that do will win big.
