The damn slip on from the right side will not stay in place no matter what I do, and it's really pizzing me off![:@]
Short of JB Weld, anyone have any bright ideas? I'm getting tired of having to reset it every couple of weeks![:@][:@]
If it is a V&H clamp...throw it in the trash and use the original HD muffler clamp. The V&H clamps are famous for not being able to tighten up enough to secure the muffler.
easy fix just move the clamp as far forward as possible, but not to excesse the end of the slip on. and tighten it hard. you will have no more problem.
Yeah, I had the same problem on my 2007 RdKg. It was driving me up the wall. The right pipe would loosen and then vibrate a rattling metalic liscense plate sound. I loosened the clamp enough to slide a thick washer between the clamp and the pipe (I curved it a bit) and then crushed it down. No more problem.
Harley clamp is the answer! But, get new ones as they can only be used a couple of times before they will not work. As stated, the V&H clamps are crap.
Thanks everyone! The clamp is from HD, but I guess I should replace it since it has been off once to replace a tire, and I've loosened it to fix the ****** too!

Ive used them over and over several times, where you place it makes all the difference. 1/16 in. from the front lip does it.
