Default New smooth rear end...

Thought I would post some pics of my last project. I posted before I did it with a photoshoped sketch and asked for opinions and had a constant concern with lighting rear visibility, so I changed my lighting idea and did not end up frenching in the license plate. This is how it turned out.

I think there are motor vehicle laws on how high off the ground the license plate needs to be. Also, is the plate lite for night riding?
Other than that, looks good.

My local indy shop said the same thing, but I read the Maine inspection manual and the only mentions for the license plate is that it is horizontal and attached to the rearmost part of the rear fender. There is a light. The only height specifics were for tail and running lights. If I do run into that issue I will powder coat the fatory plate bar and remount up there. Actual will probably get that coated just so it is ready if i need it. My sticker is good til '08 sometime so I have a list going of what I want to pull when I gets really cold out to bring to the powder coater. Thanks for the thoughts.
