I used Syn on my 2005 FLSTSCi (softail springer classic) at the 1K service. The engine made so much noise, they changed it back to Dino oil at no charge.

My new Ultra will prob'ly not get syn, based on previous experience.

A buddy of mine called the dealer for his 1k service and they said change the oils
and also they re-lube the bearings for the front triple, we kind of wondered why
bearing would need to be re-lubed at 1k miles ?? We went ahead and did it at
his house, found a couple of the ait filter bolts were alomost all the way out.
