Default Difference between J&M speakers (ohms)

I am looking to buy some J&Mspeakers and I don't understand what the difference between these two speakers HCUS-06GT and HCUS-98GT. I am using the sony head unit that you see with the kit that comes on Ebay. I want to make sure I go with the correct speaker for this head unit. And could someone explain what the difference is between the 2 types of ohms for those speakers?

Do I need to go with a certain ohm for this head unit? or can I use either one?

Thanks

tyrant ,,,,,,,

the J&M #HCUS-06GT speakers are 2 ohms ,, the HCUS-98GT speakers are 8 ohms ,,,,,,,

what does the manual for the radio you are purchasing specify as the lowest impedance speaker you can use on their radio ? ,,,

tyrant33 ,,,,,

your radio specs say that it is capable of putting out a max power of 52w on each of 4 channels into a 4 ohm load ,,,,, which converted to RMS is maybe ABOUT 22-26 watts per channel continuous into 4 ohms ,,,,,

if the radio comes with a good warrantee, I would try the J&M HCUS-06GT speakers rated at 2 ohms,,, this will boost the output of the radio to 70+ max per channel into the 2 ohm load and if the final output amps will tolerate it, you will get the greatest volume potential from this combination ,,,,,,

if that bothers you, than go with the J&M HCUS-98GT’s at 8 ohms impedance ,,, and then you won’t need to worry about the final amps getting hot ,,,,,,

please let me know how you do ,,,,,

So if I find a radio that goes down to a 2 ohms that would be better for the final amp? andI could use the 06gt's correct?

Is it?

I remember speaker threads, but NOT one that asked about specific ohm requirements.
