What problems are you talking about? I had a Mini-Beast on my 2003 and now have one on my 2006 Ultra and haven't had any problems.

The one I had on the 2003 bike had a stainless cover and it cracked near the mount after about six months. The one I put on the 2006 bike has a thick plastic cover and has been on since March 2006 and 22,000 miles and no problem. I noticed the new one has a brace on the inside of the cover to lessen vibration I guess.

Just put one on my 2007 eg classic 2 months ago and am very pleased with the ease of installation and quality of the product. Seems well made. Ride safe!

Agree - the Mini-Beast is actuallya Stebel inside. Stebel is cheaper way to go if you don't need the cover on the Mini-Beast.

I've used one for years and it works great - very loud.

I looked into the Stebel, and it sounds great. I just need to find a place to put it on my RK.

I think I'm going to try the mini-beast. I don't have a problem with it being plastic. Heck, the grill on my PU is plastic.
