For those of you that asked, I did my 25K maintenance, and that it when I discovered it. I have 27K now, and plan on doing it this week or next. The nylon piece was worn somewhere between 1/3 and 1/2, hard to tell with it in there, but none the less I would like to forget about it, so I plan on changing it out.

 

I changed mineto the auto model@5k while I was changing the inner primary to chrome. @16k now, show miminal wear.

 

I agree while your in there change to a auto type you will be happy at how much smoother it will shift.

 

Do you need to remove the primary cover to inspect the shoes, or can you see them through the inspection plate hole?

 

I have one of the hd adjustable ones, I'll sell for 1/2 price if anyone wants it. It will not work with my DD6 tranny.

 

Why will it not work? That's interesting. Do you have to have maual adjustment or a Hayden?
