Aux Switch housing and Switches

Aux Switch housing and Switches
OK, I already know there must be a simple answer to my question, but for the life of me it is escaping my brain. I purchased the Aux Switch housing to put on my handle bar, next to the left switch housing. Purchased 3 switches to go with it. No where in the instructions can I find out how to connect the wires from the switches to the lightsI want to switch on and off. There are two wire leads from each of the switches, a grey wire and a white w/ black wire.
I am assuming that the hot lead connects to one wire and the accessory hooks to the other, having the switch interupt the power source, but does it matter which one hooks to which wire?

RE: Aux Switch housing and Switches
If there are no pilot lights in the switches, they are not polarized and can go either way unless you want to follow the color codes. Doesn't the directions point you in a direction for the hot lead?
Are they a HD part? part number?
The circuit can be wired either way for the switch to open the +12 or the ground. I prefer to open the +12

RE: Aux Switch housing and Switches
It makes no difference which switch lead is connected to the power inlet and which end goes to the light.
You will have a power lead from the 12+ supply, with a battery or fused 12v supply, this will connect to one sie of the switch, and other side of the switch will connect to the positive + /hot side of the light you are attempting to supply power to. There will be a second ground 12v - wire, that is not switched, but runs either directly off the battery or to a common gound point to the other side of the light.
If this does not make sense, pm and I'll send a picture.
Good Luck
