brighter Head lights

RE: brighter Head lights
Kuryakyn sells 90/100W H4 bulbs for $9, which is something any HD dealer can order. My dealer stocks them.

I used 85w100W and 90W100W on my old RK for nine years without any problems, including the last few years with a Kisan modulator. I transferred the bulb and modulator to the new SG and it still works fine. I find these bulbs lasted about three years without the Kisan modulator before the high-beam would burn out, which is the filiment used about 90% of the time on my bike. With the modulator I've had better results, primarily because the 20-100% modulation makes the bulb run cooler, according to Kisan. Based on my experience I now believe what they're saying.
I would recommend staying away from any bulb with a blue tint. The blue spectrum is less visible to our eyes, and having them tinted to a higher color temperature than the standard ~3200°K H4 is counter-productive.

RE: brighter Head lights
I have put about 7,000 miles on my Silver Stars and have not had a problem. They really light up the reflective stuff on the strpies and signs especially on brand new signs they really shine.
ORIGINAL: Neckball
Makes for a nice light. My problem was, I can't get them to last for more than about 12-15,000 miles. I've gone through two, package said "For motorcycle use'. Two was enough, I put the stock bulb back in.
Yep. SilverStar bulb.
