The Dakota Digital has a sticky back that will stick right to the inside of the front fairing. Splice the power wire into the cigarette lighter power wire.

I put my Xm radio antenna on top of the radio, but not my Dakota Digital.

Regards,

Bill

Mine works as good as the radio in my 2002 Chev pickup. Dakota Digital says that you do not get the Weather Bands, but I have been able to get them with mine some of the time.

I use XM or CD's most of the time, so I find the dakota digital adaquate for my needs.

Regards,

Bill

Why bother with this antenna at all? I installed the TT2C2 ECS Hylites antenna under the fairing with duct tape and this thing has performed flawlessly. It picks up distant stations very well including the weather band. Yes, it states that it is an FM antenna but it picks up AM as well. Best of all, it's not powered and only $30.00.

I seem to remember there was more than one model. If you get the more expensive one it works real good, if you bought the cheap one. You get the cheap one!

I hope you got a bad one, cause I'm planning on buying one this weekend. They should give you another under warranty. Hope mine works better than the one you have now, but won't be able to find out until next May when the snow melts.
