I've heard from previous users that they don't work very well. You can buy the standard antenna bracket for a Road Glide and mount it to the left of the rear fender. I've been told it costs less than HD's relocation kit and mounts it lower. Put a short whip on it for $7.95 and you'll get AM/FM and Weather band. It's supposed to work very well (Hey, it works on a stock RoadGlide right?). That's the route I'm going to take when I decide to do a detachable tour-pack.

Thanks, I bought it that way. I'm going to doll it up a bit more and get some of that pent up power I keep hearing is hiding in my engine to show itself this winter and spring.

I went to a independant shop today in Toronto and talked to the owner about an antenna for my fairing. He wasn't impressed with the Dakota Digital unit and told me to go to Canadian Tire and buy a short flexable unit for about $15. He says he has one in his fairing and it works great for fm and picks up weather band.

I have a Dakota Digital right now that seems to work good, but for 30.00 I am going to get the TT and do a comparison. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Regards,

Bill

Try putting it inside the fairing.
