Does anyone have any problems with their CD player skipping while riding? My dealer mentioned that it happens more with CD's that are burned at home or on low grade copies.

Just wanted to see if mine was an isolated problem.

mine is an 06 didn't matter what cd I used. It would skip sitting still ignition on and engine off. Replaced radio under warranty

 

I have used several home made cd's with no problem on my 08 SG. I know that you are to burn them at a slower speed although that should not make a difference for the skipping issue.

 

This is a problem since the 06. Make sure you have the most recent update in it. There is some info here in the forums on it so do a search on the radio. My ultimate fix after my third radio was a dealer discounted XM install^

 

I have updated it since new, but it has NEVER skipped ever, even on a good jounce like hopping an unexpected pothole

 

Mine has started to do this on MP3 files, when in finishes playing one track it will jump into the next track mid way or so... Going to try and run a disc cleaner throught it tomorrow... Let you know if it works! [sm=confused06.gif]

 

I bought my 2007 FLHTC in April and on the 3rd HK unit. Can not say much for the quality of these units.

No problems on my 08.

 

I have had no problems (yet) on my 08 Street Glide.I use regular CDs and also MP3 disks and thay have not skipped.
