Iuse it every day to work, holds the briefcase.

On trips, holds the water bag and jackets or rain gear...

Any details on the install???? How easy was it????

I just installed one, it looks great. Also added the lighted rear spoiler for extra lights
Very easy, tape on some masking tape, lay the rack there and trace it, then drill your holes through the tape.
Ditto, prop the bike up level, eyeball it to get it where you want it, trace, drill, bingo!

Had one on 04, used it several times. Bought one for the 08 and plan on using it several times. I bungee the luggage there on trips as the saddlebags are full of the necessities such as chaps, rain gear, etc. and the tour pak only holds so much

Put some Painters or MaskingTape where the 4 legssits, and about 1fingerfromthe seat,Use some double sided tape on the Black Grommets, the black things the Rack sits on. Once you are happy with the location, press so the Black things stays and use that for your drill marks. (Take the black things off before making the drill hole larger.) I got this tip from this forum and it worked great so thanks to who thought of that one. Start off with a small drill hole and check to make sure it is lined up before making the hole larger. I also used some Clear Silicone on the bolts to prevent leaking. The diagram that came with it for some reason on mine it didn't line up so I didn't even use it.Good Luck

Surely worth it. Put one on and use it quite a bit on the days I ride to work and load it up to go to work and the gym directly after.

trips with the wife..?? its a must!!!!
I strap on a tour bag that contains our bike cover and rain gear in it.
starts to rain,, its right there you dont have to open the hard bags.
get to the hotel/destination, unhook bag and throw it in the room..
besides,,, on all trips, seems you come home home with MORE stuff than you brought.

as far as install? its already been mentioned,,, just take time and line it up.
So easy a CAVEMAN could do it!!!!

i've used the hell out of mine. strap a Kury grand traveler bag on it, and also use a spider cord to tie the leathers, rain gear, etc that won't fit into the tourpac, grand traveler or saddle bags. really works great. However, in my case, with the wife packing all them "wimmen fixins" and trinkets she picks up on the road, finally added a Bushtec trailer. Trailer is great since it is so convienient and the bushtec is a dream to pull.

that said, the luggage rack is still a great addition to the bike since it greatly increases your ability to pack for most of your trips (unless you have my old lady riding with you)
