Just read on another thread that a lowering kit would not work on an 08 because of IDS. Does anyone know if this is true. Was thinking of doing this to an 07 uc (lowering kit and IDS)

I can't figure why, the sprocket size is the same, it just has rubber bushings in it.

 

i put the burly lowering kit on my 08 ultra, had togrind it off slightly so i t did not rub the pulley, but not a big deal to do...

TJ Lowering took my lowering kit for a '07 FLHTC back - they say it won't work on a 2008.

 

My 07 SG is lowered 1.25" and just came home today with the IDS installed! IDS IS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST THING I HAVE DONE TO MY BIKE!! Ive had Harleys for 25 years. I was about to sell my 07, but the IDS made all the differnece in the world. And YES it works fine with a lowering kit.

 

Well it appears that some work and some don't - so for those that do work tell the rest of us who made it. TIA
