I would appreciate some seat recommendations
I have a 30" inseam. The stock seat on my '06 SG is a little too wide in front, causing me to use up some of the very limited reach I have available to plant both feet firmly on the pavement.
I just tried Harleys 'Reach' seat. It pinned me in too tight and even crowded "the boys", if you get what I mean. Besides, it looked like sh!!t on the bike.
I need to find a low-profile seat that is much more narrow towards the front to get the most out of my leg length, yet reasonably comfortable for two-up riding. Suggestions anyone? Buying without trying is a throw of the dice and I'll not do that again. Maybe one of you are in my position and have found a seat that really works for you.

Seats are very subjective. Some like Mustang, some like Corbin, etc...
I use this Mustang and it does EXACTLY what you're looking for: 79127 - 17" Wide Plain Solo w/ Driver Backrest
It can be seen here: http://www.mustangseats.com/roadglide/roadglide.shtml
On my RG with standard length shocks & this seat, you actually sit lower than you would on a stock SG, evenwith the shorted shocks that come on them.

As Phil said, Mustang seats are great. If you call Mustang direct and give them your info.. i.e. size etc and what you're trying to accomplish, they'll recommend a seat. I've tried several seats over the years and keep coming back to Mustang.

If you don't want to lay-out the big $$$ on a new seat - You can always talk to the folks at MEAN CITY CYCLES (a sponsor here)
Seems like all the people here that have used them to modify there seats have been very happy...

I put a mustang on my 07 SG and it moved me forward at least 2 inch's. Also went from a butt burn after 45 min.s to being able to ride all day with no problem
Mustang the way to go if you ask me.

I have a similar inseam issue, 28" and wondered how much difference the seat can make on a 08 RG?
How much comfort will you loose with a modified Stock seat vs. a Mustang 79127 or DGray BigSeat? The only other option at about the same $ is swap out the stock shocks for SG rears.
