I sent my Sundowner to Mean City Cycles for their seat mod. I was going with the double decker to get a little more heigth from the ground since I am tall. I didn't want to buy another seat. Has anyone had the double decker and how was it for comfort? How much higher did it sit you? I am looking for about 1.5 inches more than what the Sundowner is now for the 07 SG.

I haven't had the double decker mod done but did have my seat redone. My seat now is great- I am short so I went the other direction. In case it does not raise it enough you can add a sheepskin seat cover. The leather/skin being over the entire memory foam it will allow height and will add comfort. I don't think you will need it though. They do great work

 

I started out with a single layer and Alan redid the seat to the double layer. Double layer is the only way to go, in my opinion, I like a soft seat.

 

Ive only had mine back for about 3 weeks, and I love it. Allen did a terrific job, I highly recommend it. Im 6'2" and I had mine rised 1 inch, and back 1 inch.

 

I just got mine Double Deckered. I kept the same seat heght. It is very comfortable. I liked the stock seat, butseemed to getharder after the 3rd tank of fuel in a day. I have not had a chance to do a long day on the seat since I got it back.
Mean City was great to deal with. I had a 2 week turn around.
