Default dipstick oil temp gauge

Why doesn't Harley offer a oil dipstick temp gauge for the FLHT? I've thought about putting one in the dash instead of the air temp but was kind of thinging about one of these.

RU talking about the digital temperature/levelthat HD has for the dipstick location? In the HD catalog for the 07 the P/N is 63046-07 ($139.00). I got mine via Surdyke for $116.24 to my door. The oil gauge kit P/N 75265-04 (black face) runs about $135.00. I do not believe you really need the added kit P/N 26133-07 for the 07 model to install. Just another way to rip you off of some more money.

Pass on the oil temp dipstick, doesn't work with a Sh*&! I had one and never once close to being accurate and lots of error codes.
Tried two and both bad! Just buy a gauge and remove the air temp gauge.

I tried one for my '07 and liked it, except it leaked when caught in the rain. The display went dead. I am trying a replacement now. The temps on mine were accurate. Goes into error mode if temps too high on oil (above 300).

I've had mine for over 5 years and the only thing I have had to do is replace the battery once. Works great!

I had one, got wet and stopped working. Only way I could read it when it was working was when I was off the bike. So wasen't of much use to me know how
I now have the dash mounted unit
