Default 07 RK Classic muffler #'s

I'm going to look into buying a set of '07 RK classic stock mufflers. I heard them the other day and they sounded pretty good for stockers. Is there a part # stamped into the muffler body that I can check. Does anyone have the stock part #'s for the up slash mufflers and whereI might find it on the mufflers. If it's not marked with a part # how do I tell it's from an '07.

You should check out E-Bay as there is ALWAYS a few sets there - Also Check the Classifieds here... If you check the Dealer the OEM Mufflers are BIG $$$$$$

Some dealers will almost give them to you. The first thing most people do is replace their exhaust so most dealers have a lot of "take-offs" in the shop.

Yea, my local will sell me some. He just has them all out there in the shop and doesn't know which are which. I want the mufflers off of an '07, which is why I want this info before going there.

You might want to listen to a set of the new Screamn' Eagle Street Performance pipes before you do the purchase & install. JMO

They state on the bottom "HAR FLT 1584" for the 07 RK mufflers amongst the EPA info. The left one with the short pipe diffuser carries a part number of 65547-07 and the right one has a different part number because of the different diffuser but also states the "HAR FLT 1584" on it too so you should be able to pair them up. The right one has a diffuser that looks as if it is straight through compared to the left one. Don't have the PN for the right handy.

If you're still wanting 07 RKC stock mufflers, I have a set that I'd sell. PM me and we can discuss the details.

Just look inside the left muffler. It's basically a large hollow chamber with an approximately 5" closed-end tube with about a dozen pea-sized holes at the outlet. That's how they get the deep undertones. 08' parts are the same.

Don't try to use them if you're going to a setup where the "crossover" is eliminated.

Personally, I'd never part with my stock '07 RKC mufflers because I may have to stick them back on momentarily some time in the future. Never know what kind of shenanigans are coming down the pike in terms of getting plates renewed, etc.

If you get new ones don't be dissapointed cuz at first they're not gonna sound like the ones you might of heard. Mine didn't start to sound "ok" until about 2500 miles on 'em.
