H-D Chrome center stand vs. display stand??
Harley showstwo types ofcenter stands on the website.
P/N 91573-06 is listed asa Chrome Center Stand @ $329.95
P/N 99002-97A is listed as a Chrome Display Stand @ $249.95
One appears to mount forward while I assume the other mounts more towards the rear tire. Can anyone confirm and alsotell me if there is afunctional difference?
On another thread, it was mentioned that the Center stand will not interfere with a jack. Will the Display stand interfere?

The center stand mounts at the rear of the frame, is harder to deploy because you're lifting the bike temporarily through the "arc" of the stand. You have to rock it off the stand, you can't just ride off. You can adjust it to leave both wheels on the ground or do as I have, lift the rear wheel slightly, easing maintenance and cleaning. If you have a bad back or any kind of shoulder problem, you probably don't want to try to lift a Harley dresser on to a center stand, but it hasn't been a problem for me as I've been putting bikes on centerstands for 37 years now.

The ONLY thing I have to add to what DStockton has written is that the Display Stand is not compatible withan HD oil cooler. It does not interfere with the yellow Sears floor jack. I have the Display Stand and am glad that I added it; it was a two-handed install - at least for me.

There is not a big need for a center stand since the belt drive does not need the constant adjustment that a chain needs, or the oiling.
I have the display stand, got it from Zanittis for 20% off list plus shipping, and I use it all the time. No more worries about scratching the bike when it leans over on the side stand.
