speedometer/odometer is off....
Just bought 05 ultra classic....i've learned from my riding buddies that my speedometer is about 3 mph too fast (when mine says 73mph theirs says 70) and when we stop to buy gas and compare miles ridden on this particular tank of gas i always show about 6-8 more miles on the odometer....before i take it to the dealer, can someone tell me if this can be corrected?recalibrated?
Ride safe!

Mine is high too (as compared to my GPS speed reading). Oh well, who cares.

Before you spend any money get a cop to track you on radar to see if you are off.

My odometer is within 1%, but my speedo reads about 10MPH high.

My speedo is off too, both bikes! Guess it is a feature?? Probably kept me from getting a speeding ticket if I am going slower than I think I am....

i doubt the dealer is gonna do anything about it. It's within their percentage. And btw, mine reads the exact same way according to the GPS. 3mph off at 70mph, it's about 4mph @ 80mph

I've never owned a bike where the speedometre was accurate. A gps unit will show you how much. 5-10 kph difference is normal on many bikes

Think of all the tickets you're not getting
