Hey folks, had my 5,000 mile service done not long ago, since then I have had oil droplets coming from my fork that mess up the shifter side of the bike. I traced the oil to the fork cover. When I called my dealer about the problem they said it could be the grease from the fitting on the neck bearing, when I checked it it was a total mess behind there. The dealer thought that heat was liquifying the grease and it was running down the fork cover and just appeared to be fork oil leak. I have cleaned the area many times and the oil is still there, could it be a fork seal or just way too much grease at the service?

Had the same problem when I let the dealer do the "free" 1000 mile serv. It was the crappy neck bearing grease they used. I took my own grease gun and pushed all that thin grease out with some thicker better quality grease and give that area a good washing. No more mess.
