If it is a touring bike and the bluing is on the middle section as where there is no chrome heat shield just cover with a kuryakyn chrome heat shield or a hd one. That way you will not need to repeat the work. Blue away is what comes to my mind though.

I've had good luck with "Blue Job". Takes a while but it works for bluing and yellowing pipes.

Blue Job works with a little...no check that...a lot of elbow grease.

Ihave not tried Blue Job. Nothing I have tried has worked worth a damn and Blue Away will scratch. looks like Blue Job will get the next attempt.

I agree with the blue job recommendation. Just make it like toothpaste and rub for a little while. But you have to repeat it every couple of months. I think I'm going to go with the heat shield gap cover the others are talking about. I don't remember this happening on the 04 RK??

Have any of you guys tried this stuff with steel wool? I think I read somwhere you could use #0000 steel wool on chrome with no scratches, wondering if that is fact or fiction.

Try "Nevr-Dull", it will polish/clean any metal. Comes in a can of wool wadding or such....

I use blue job. Sure, it does require a lot of elbow grease, but the results are great. One tip, when you get it up to the toothpaste phase (it is a powder and mixes with water), goop it on and let it sit for a bit. Not long enough for it to dry, but it seems to work better that way. What I do is smeer it on a small area, leave it for the length of a song on the garage radio, and just start rubbin'. LOL
