Default 2 into 1 exhaust sound

I really like the SE pipes on my Electra Glide Standard. However would like to have my individual expression. SO the questions is:

Do you loose the individual cylinder sound when going to 2 into 1? Seems like the sounds would combine and cancel the cool sound of each cylinder firing.

Nothing sounds better than a Harley, but 2 into 1 is nice looking.

Anyone gone this route and are satisfied or want to go back to dual exhaust?

Thanks

the Road Glide I just bought has the SE 2-1 Pro Pipe on it. I thought it was a little loud when I was looking at it but got used to it pretty quick. I like the look of it myself and it still sounds like a Harley..

I have a 2-1 Thunderheader. I love the sound and the performance is awsome. But I do like the looks of true duals better then the 2-1. If I were to do it over again I would go with Bassani power curve with Thunderheader slip-ons.

I like the looks and sound of 2 into 1 no problems with performance. Made my own by cutting the left pipe off and welded a patch I also put a SE muffler from a fatboy I had laying around. I do not know how it rates with other systems but it cost me nothing. Motor has modifcations as well.

The thunderheader is Awesome. I have an 05 FLHT carbureted, and a 2 into1 thunderheader. Great sound nice performance. Thunderheader just came out with true duals for FL models. I haven't heard them but I bet they sound good. You can get the performance from the thuunderheader, but the similar sound from the true dual action. Check them out.

I was told that for performance the 2 into 1 was the best way to go but you sacrifice the pipe on the other side for FLH bikes. I heard the Thunderheader and it was great, I really liked it. My dealer gave me 40% off on a SuperTrapp which also sounds good so I am going with that for my Street Glide. They gave 25% off on SE Race Tuner, Stage 1, and an oil cooler. So I spent too much money on my new bike, oh well.

With my eyes closed, I can tell if you have 2 into 1 exhaust. It is different from 2 into 2. It's a better performance product, but looses the best part of the potato, potato soound. That's how I hear it.
