You '08 guys are unbelieveable! First you have the extra gallon in the tank. Now you have to have a countdown to empty? What's next, a buzzer to remind you its bingo night at the old folks home or a flashing light to let you know its time to pee? I thought the clutch safety switch on the '07's was bad enough but geesh! LOL!
don't be hatin cuz your jealous.

my 08 EGS has it on the odo, i can't confirm the radio as i dont have a factory one.

I'm not hatin but these doo-dads sound more like an old lady's car than a Harley. If they're going to give you distance to empty, why not MPG and instant MPG. With all of the posts about inaccurate fuel gauges makes you wonder about how they got this worked out????

I had the mileage to empty on my V-Rod. Nice to have if it's accurate. Hell if the countdown gage on the '08's is as accurate as my fuel gage on my SG then it's worthless. I just go by my odometer...
Mine works great. When I get down to 25 miles or so till reserveI put in about 5.1 or 5.2 gallons. I like this feature and usually ride with that display showing instead of the odometer or trip odometer. I'd still like to know how to make it display on the radio face...anybody???

And we've got the hole in the seat so we don't have to stop to take a whizz!! You just can't beat those '08's for creature comforts........LOL The hole in the seat idea came from the extended cruising range you get with that 6 gallon tank.

My displays is on my odometer only. Itchanges to it automaticly when thefule reserve light comes on. Because I read all of the negative posts about all the imperfections that these bikes have I was worried that mine was destined to have some problems.I only have a little under 1,000 miles on it so far but the distance to empty feature on my bike seems to be right on the money. On my last two tanks I took it down to 10 miles remaining (the display flashes 0's at that point) and both times it took just over 5 1/2 gal. That makes me feel like it works.

Why wouldn't those wonderful sales people inform you '08buyers of such?

They all can't be inept or slept throught the sales meeting.

I know one thing for certain......None of them read this forum or any other one for that matter. I rely on these posts to keep me educated, I wish the dealers would do the same!!
