RE: does the mustang seat narrow nose make a difference
In my opinion, it DOES help.
BUT....
This is one of those questions that you almost have to answer with "compared to what?"
I can tell you this, Ive tried:
Mustang wide touring 1 peice
Mustang solo with pillion
HD Sundowner
I am 6 feet tall, 34 inseam. with the various seat hieghts and nose widths of those 3 seats, Id personally say its splitting hairs in the "feet down at a light" factor. The wide mustang is VERY "scooped" out at the nose dispite being quite wide otherwise.
What I would STRONGLY recomend, is to call Sue at Mustang seats, and buy the seat DIRECTLY from them. You then have 10 days to try it out, and if it does not work for you, send it back (Be VERY carefull to not damage the seat.) But frankly, in the "feet down" department, I think you will know within 1 hour if its going to work for you. Wrap the seat in saran wrap, cover the tounge and bolt tab with tape, and try it out. If it dont work, your out the shipping.
But thats ONLY if you purchase directly from Mustang. (and you will pay more for the seat...its up to you if the returnablity is worth it)
Dunno if you have seen this or not, but if it helps:
