When washing the bags, I place them on a couple of old rubber mats on the ground. This prevents them from scuffing as well as keeps them from moving around when I wash them. Towe dry before putting them back on the mounts. Periodically will blow out water from latches with my compressor. The rubber mats are great for keeping the bags steady and protect them during washing.

I will second Masterblaster. Mr. CLean, Leaf Blower then a quick hit with the wax

If I dont have the time after washing, I usually hit the gas tank and fairing with the wax

AND thank God for Home Depot! It stops rust fron forming. I learned this trick from the HD wash people over 39 years ago when just hanging around the shop & watching. I never get rust unless I get lazy.

Sounds too good to be true, does it not strip wax or harm paint therefore??
