Default Radio Light Out?

Went for a ride tonight and noticed the red backlight on my radio display isn't working. Anybody else have this problem? Headed for the dealer tomorrow. Can he fix this or will he have to change the radio?

Default RE: Radio Light Out?

I am on my third radio in the o6 Ultra. All the same probnlem, Display goes out. Regular Warrenty is up next month, so I am glad I got the Extended, that radio lists for 1300.00 With the Extended, it'll cost me 50.00

By the way, the radio's they put in under warrenty, are all reconditioned ones. probably why the problem keeps coming back

I have a problem with the faceplate or window on mine, it has what looks like moisture in it, dealer tells me 4 to 6 weeks and they keep my bike till HK sends them a new one, and HK makes that decision, No way and they wont let me take it out myself, so I can ride while waiting. Think I will upgrade the radio. This plan sucks!. Doc

Default RE: Radio Light Out?

Coming off the freeway and coming to a stop at the light, the radio went dead. What's more, the turn signals went dead as well. Engine ran fine, as well as the headlightand spotlights. When I got home, I checked, and the brake lights were not working. Not a safe situation. This is all on an '07 Ultra with 2,200 miles!. I let it sit for an hour before I got back to itand started checking the fuse box on the left side of thebike. All the fuses were intact. Out of curiosity, I turned the ignition switch on, and everything worked perfectly again. Now, I am scared to ride too far lestit happen again. Has anyone else seen anything like this on their Ultras? Is there somesort ofcircuit breaker that the owner's manual doesn't tell about, or could it be related to the schizophrenic Smart Security System?
