Thanks for the reply. I tried HD Syn oil in my 2005 springer. The engine noise was so loud that I changed back to Dino. After that, the thing was considerably quieter.

Go figure.

I still haven't decided on what oil to use in my '08 FLHTCU. Did Dino at 1K service. Leaning toward staying with it for now.

I have been running the Mobile 1 V-Twin 20-50 in all three holes on my 06
for the last 19,000 miles. Works great no problems.

Amsoil 20-50 in the crankcase.
Amsoil 75-140 Severe Gear in the transmission.
HD Formula+ in the primary.

Mobil 1 15-50 in the engine, Mobile 175-90 in the transmissions and Formual + in the primary.

Spoke to a Mobile Rep at Sturgis, he recommended Mobile 1 in all three holes.

LOL.........what else would you expect him to say[sm=icon_rofl.gif]his job is to sell his product,ask the stealer the same question and they'll tell you syn 3 in all 3.

mobile one for motor, harley + forprimary, ONLY Redline heavy for trans IMHO!

20/50 is to thin for the tranny.... at least "my tranny".
