SO ... how is the new 2008 Ultra Classic seat? Am I gonna need to replace it or will it suffice for long distances?

I don't like mine. I'm having BadX redo this one too. Feels like you're sitting on a big hump

 

mines ok,,,, but it seems the one on my 07 was a bit more comfy than the 08

Riders backrest is a BIG plus!

 

When I switch from bike to bike mine feels like it sits higher on the '08 than than my '07 but my feet sit the same on the ground.

 

First distance trip of 250 miles had me saying it will be redone or replaced.

Had the pillow look seat on my RK and could ride forever.

This seat is ok for short distance but too hard after awhile.

I am 6' 215, position is good but *** numbness does set in.

 

I'm almost 6' 8" and 270 lbs. The stock seat works fine for me... no problems whatsoever.

I've been thinking about getting a back rest, but not sure. I'd appreicate others opinions here.

I don't want to get too comfortable. People might mistake me for riding one of them thar meatrack bikes!

 

Get the backrest. You'll wonder why you waited so long. 6'2", 275.

Second improvement I made to my '07 FLH was to sell the stock seat, ordered a Corbin Classic Solo with pass. pillion and love it . Pricey, but works for me . [sm=smiley20.gif]

PS : My first change was to ****-can the stock heel / toe shifter, LOL !!

 

I tried to put the Tallboy seat from my '05 Classic on the new '08 Ultra and found that since they changed the gas tank, the seat won't fit. The H-D Catalog list a new seat for the'08.
