Haven't done a real long ride yet on mine (250 miles at most), but the stock seat feels good so far. The first thing I added was the adjustable backrest....have had one on my last 3 bikes and won't ride without one anymore.

No long rides yet with mine feels pretty good on the 200 mile or so rides I've done, but add a backrest it will help a bunch. FYI for everyone I had a Mustang backrest and bracket and it works perfect with the stock seat. It is a much better rest than the Harleybackrest my Buddy has on his bike easy to adjust on the fly and super easy to remove and reinstall when parking

Stock 08 seat really sucks! I miss my air Zep seat bad. Looked at a Corbin in Galveston, but they only had one style for 08 bagger, said maybe another one in Jan, meanwhile "Air Rider" gel cushion is better. The 03 pillow seat was good as stock was. IMHO

SO ... how is the new 2008 Ultra Classic seat? Am I gonna need to replace it or will it suffice for long distances?

thanks!
I replaced my Streetglide seat with one (for 2-up comfort) and haven't a single complaint. *thumbs up*

On long rides of 300+ miles I noticed that my inner thighs got sore so I used a sheepskin pad I had and it feels great and no pain at all.

I traded an 06 EGC (stock seat) in for my 08 Ultra. I dont have many miles on it but Ifeel like Im sittin so high with the stock seat, I find Im not being as aggressive in corners the way I would on my 06. I think Ill wait for the Mustang....

I'm almost 6' 8" and 270 lbs. The stock seat works fine for me... no problems whatsoever.

I've been thinking about getting a back rest, but not sure. I'd appreicate others opinions here.

I don't want to get too comfortable. People might mistake me for riding one of them thar meatrack bikes!
I havethe adjustable rider's backrest on my 07 Ultra & love it. Really works wonders when I go to the hi way pegs & push back against it. Provides a nice change up on longer trips. It's very easily removed if you're concerned about the looks.

Highly recommended...be sure to get the adjustable version.

Do they make a tall boy seat yet or does anyone no where to get one for the 08's?

I would like to have one of those as feel a little close right now.
