RE: red lodge, montana
Since I had to cancel my trip to Reno for Street Vibrations and I'm stuck in the house taking care of my sick wife, I'm dying to get out. She should be OK by the weekend. Can take you on a great tour on Sunday. Breakfast at the Regis and we're off.
PM me if you're interested.

Anyone know if the road into Columbus is finished? We did that one after leaving Red Lodge last year -- 20 miles of (big) rock & gravel -- felt like I was gonna dump the bike several times. Montana Hiways seems to have a penchant for just tearing up the entire road, with no advance warning signs until you're commited. This year, it was the road between Missoula & Helena.

We always have torn up roads, it sucks but but wehave so many roads and such a short season to fix them.
The road to Whitefish from Kalispell has been torn up but is not too bad now, we did good this year up here, there hase been years in the past that you can't find an alternate route.
I used to live in Roundup, 70 miles north of Billings, it was torn up for a couple years in different places, then you have flash floods that I have seen take cars right off the highway and deposit them in the praire and be completely dry the next day, gully washers and they take lives. And then there is the wind on the east side and this year some on the west side of the divide, ( Tornados in Polson all the way to Troy)
Oh well thats Montana. Ride safe and keep your eyes open.
