Default Mustang Seat vs Sundowner

I have a RK Classic and can't decide between the Mustang-Plain Solo and the Sundowner Solo Bucket Seat. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks, AA

AA:

I can't provide any help here because I'm in the same situation (looking at a replacement seat for my RKC) ... except I'm looking at the Mustang one piece touring seats and was wondering how the Sundowner compared ... hope to see some opinions, too.

note: there are some posts in here that already discuss some of the seats ... dunno if that will help or not ...

I can't comment on the Mustang seat but I can say I really like the Sundowner Solo. It's very comfortable and doesn't relocate your postion from the stock seat. It does take a little getting used to since it has a higher back support than stock.

Here's a pic that kind of shows the depth of the seat. I'd be more than happy to take any other pics you might want to see of the seat.

i love my sundowner, now 3 years old. i had two Mustang seats and found they raised me up and forward, neither to "my" liking. these are common notes about the Mustang seats.

I've had 'em both. I'll stick with the Sundowner. More comfort at a lower price.

Thanks for the help and thanks for the picture, Brian. I like the idea of higher back support and I don't want to be raised up. It sounds like the Sundowner is what I'm looking for.

Thanks again,
AA

My 06 Ultra stock is a pain in my a.ss (literally).

Is the Sundowner really better? Can I get more than 90 minutes before I have to pull over?

Rode back from Sturgis this year, Dot and I both with our 1 piece Sundowner....850 miles in 13 hours. In other words it must fit our azzes to a T. Have a Mustang touring seat on the Dyna and like that also, but it does raise you up a little. Went with the Sundowner on the RK to keep the Classic basketweave theme.

I was torn between Sundowner and Mustang. I bought the Sundowner and have had no complaints. Put some good miles on it and still no pressure pain on your tail end. I found mine on Ebay for quite the deal. Someone only had 100 miles on it and it looks brand new. Look around and you can find some deals out there.
