Default Seat questions????? Sundowner???

First I have a 07 RG with the stock seat, so compared to stock I have a couple questions.
I have read alot about the sundowner seats, and was wondering does the sundowner sit youlower than stock, does it move the rider forward or back. How is the sundowner on firmness, I do preffer a more firm seat.

Thanks in advance

I have the Streetglide model. Moved me foward about an inch, down a couple inch's. A very "in the bike" feeling. Firm but not hard. I like mine.

One of the members here did a seat chart which I thought was very helpful

Hey, that's a cool chart....

I would recommend the Sundowner. My wife and I both love ours on the Road King and the Street Bob.

To me, Sundowner ALOT softer on the ole backside than the Mustang I used to have, but does nothing for back support like the Mustang did. But still I rode about 300 miles last saturday and my butt never got sore. I don't think there is such thing as "the perfect bike seat"

I did a 600 mi. day bringing my Road King Custom home with the stock seat and was actually numb on the back side for about 12-hours, so I ordered a Sundowner because of all the positive remarks on this forum. I just installed it last night and my first impressions are as follows:

1. Passenger will be much happier
2. You sit down in the seat and seem to have a little lower back support (unlike the factory seat)
3. Feels great with highway pegs

Downside - the seat is pretty wide and feels like it moves a little when you lean side-to-side. I am sure I will not notice this after a week or so.

Got a couple hundred miles on new Sundowner, love the back support but seems a little
more "cramped" than the stock seat, my 300lb+ riding buddy tried and did not like it,
was not enough room for him, crouch is rigt up against the gas tank, the seat is also
a little wider so at a stop you can feel the seat under your thighs a little more but is great
when riding, not sure if I would buy again because of the crouch area.

Aki ...
Isn't THAT what the Reach seat is suppose to do ?
If that is the case WHAT is the difference between the 2 ?
Just wondering cus I bought one (Sundowner) from a member here (haven't
got it yet) and my Wife has a Reach seat on her S.G. already and I find it
puts me too far forward for my liking.

some of you must have a different Sundowner than i have on my RK. Mine moved me back and down. I can ride all day. I wouldn't install a Mustang if they were free. had them before on a sportster and a low rider. both moved me to far forward.

I have the Sundowner & Adjustable Back Rest on my EG Classic. Both are very comfortable. I couldn't tell if it moved me up, down, or sideways.
