Default Help With ReinHarts Baffles.

Bought a set of true duels. Came with the standard baffles. Had some mods done with 10:1 ratio. Got 108 TQ & 98 Hp. The problem now is the pipes are to loud when we take trips. Cant hardly hear the radio and it gets to ya after a while. Makes my ears ring all night. Theres two different types of baffels for the reinharts and a new baffle for Tq. Was wondering if anyone had any info on this situation. thanks

I bought the performance baffle for greater mid-to-high rangetorque. Very happy with the performance, but they're a bit louder than the standard baffles.RH also makes a "quiet" baffle, which may be what youshould take a look at. GiveRH a call and talk to them about their baffles. http://bub.com/Accessories/Accessories.html They were helpful last time Ispoke to them.

Try a search here on the forum. If I remember correctly, the quite baffle doesn't reduce volume that much. Rineharts advise was to pull the baffles & wrap them with packing. I beleave they said 1-2 wraps with fiberglass roving, the type of stuff used with resin to construct or repair F/glass products. I would try a good muffler packing, the spagetti type stuff is supposed to be great. Due to the design of the baffle, this should have very little if any effect on backpressure thus no need to retune.
