Default 2008 laced wheels, tubeless?

I am new to the forums been browsing for a couple of months and am thinking of purchasing a 08 Street Glide. I test rode one at Thunder in the Rockies and loved it!

I was speaking to the dealer in my area the other day and he is saying that the new laced wheels are tubeless, can any one confirm that this is true? I like the look of the laced much more than the cast but do not want to have to run tubes.

i guess it is possible, since there is an aftermarket company that will convert laced wheels to work without a tube. However, I would be highly doubtful that HD has done this. All of there previous laced wheels required a tube, so can't see why they would go to the extra cost to make them work with tubeless tires.

Harleys laced wheels require tubes , they do run the same tubeless tires as other models but with tubes and rim strips.

well from what it sounds lik they do require tubes which is pretty much what I thought (sales people seem to tell you whatever you want to hear). I do know that laced wheels do take more ongoing maintenance "truing" but they sure look nice. I guess I will be sticking with my origonal plan of getting some aftermarket wheels later down the road.
