Finally picking up a new RK Custom tomorrow
I'm finally bringing home a new Road King Custom tomorrow, I know, I know.. I could have bought a new 08 with all the "fixes" already done But I love the bad *** look of the custom. Its been a long search, about 3 weeks to find the one I want in the right color but well worth the wait.. I don't think there is going to be a lot of sleep around my house tonight!!!

You will not be sorry. I have a '05 rk custom. I bought it because, to me, it just looked cleaner than the other rk. Not better, really, just what I wanted in a bike. I really do love it. Sure, you might have to add some things to make it livable, but you would do that on any '08 you would have bought. So, what color? LOL We all expect some pics when you get home from the long ride tomorrow night. I hope tomorrows weather is really good, in your neck of the woods. Be safe, and enjoy. To me, they are the nicest looking road king. And being that you have the added bonus of having the 96"/6 speed, it will be almost like having a collectors item. LOL Be safe.

Yup.. No sleep here. I bought a black one, there is just something about black. I'm not a big fan of chrome so I'll be spending some $$ at the powder coaters this winter as well as every other place..lol I'm just happy to be off my 06 night train, what a lousy handling bike that was, twitchy as heck on the interstate and always wanting to "stand up" in the tight twisties.

Congrats..........got mine in June and I love this bike. Very stable and rides like a dream. Good thing you got the color you wanted since they stopped production on this model after 2007. I also have the vivid black and I can't stop looking at her. Have Fun with your new ride !!!!!!!!!!!!
