Learned a new trick this weekend.

Learned a new trick this weekend.
I was watching one of the performance auto shows on the boob tube this weekend. Specifically one of the shows dedicated to off-road. They had an idea I had never thought of before. We all carry tools in some sort of pouch. The rattle around sometimes come out of the pouches and what not. The guy on the show wanted to carry a spare wheel bearing with him in his off road truck, but did not want to have to lug around grease too. Using a seal and saver he sealed the bearing w/grease up tight. No mess and whole lot stronger than a baggie.
I got to thinking. I could put a ton of stuff in a airtight bag and toss in the saddle bag. Put zip ties, lock tite, small wrenches, flash light, fuses, and a couple of baggies in a bag and sealed it up. This works out really good and is waterproof. No more rusted wrenches or parts slipping around. I figure if I ever have to open the bag up, i can put the stuff in one of the baggies til I get back home and seal it again.

Using a similar system: Ziplock Freezer Bags
Jim aka kiltiemon (just can't see the wisdom of having a "one direction" storage system... i.e.: You can open it, but cannot seal it again! Ergo: Ziplocks!!!)
