J & M Sucks

RE: J & M Sucks
I work in wholesale parts and if a shipment goes missing, UPS requires the SHIPPER to intiate an investigation, not the customer. To say that it is up to the customer to deal with a problem is total BS! We pride ourselves here on great customer service, and we would never treat a customer in this way. Stuff gets lost, it happens and we have to deal with it. You pay me for goods, it's up to me to get those goods to you, end of story. It can take up to two weeks for UPS to deal with a claim, can't get around that. I had a problem with a product once that I had bought. Took it back to the store I got it from and they told me it wasn't their problem, I'd have to take it up with the manufacturer! Told them that I didn't but it from the damn manufacturer, I bought it from them! Didn't get anywhere, but made sure everyone in that store that day heard about the company's policy. Word of mouth can do you a world of good or bad, I hope you get some satisfaction from J & M. Maybe you just spoke to a know nothing. I can't believe they would just fob you off. Good luck!

I'm surprised John hasn't been into this - he may be out of pocket. The one thing I CAN tell you is that he'll be on this like stink on sh** when he finds out about it....believe me on this.
John - I know you'll see this at some point. Is there an alternative "go-to" guy we can/should ask for in instances like this? I've known you for a number of years, and know that stuff like this WILL have you going ballistic in the office with the way it was handled....

Sorry to disappoint you 194401hd but I have NO affiliation with J&M.
Here once again the problem with the order is UPS. J&M shipped them on time, no problem.
UPS shipped them to the wrong place. I have had that happen to me before too.
But let's take out our frustration where it belongs. UPS.
If everyone would accept responsibility for their actions this would be a much better world instead of always looking for someone to blame, but that is a whole 'nother topic.

RE: J & M Sucks
I had an issue just today with FED-EX, so they all screw up. I ordered a printer for an instrument where I work, the "new girl" at the place I ordered it from picked up a box of "printer paper" and sent it to me instead of a "printer". As it turns out, they were side by side on the same shelf, an honest mistake. I call them, they say send the paper back, they'll send me a printer. I get a call from them today telling me they got the "printer paper" back, but it was actually college school books in the box!!!. We tripled checked every thing on both ends, I KNOW it was printer paper when it left me, all the shipper numbers match, but the box was in very bad condition when it arrived back at there place. It seems obvious that some Fed-Ex person has destroyed a couple of boxes of things and put the wrong stuff in the wrong box, taped it up, and shipped it on to the address on it. Now we are contacting Fed-Ex to see what is going to happen from here. A college kid somewhere is without books, and someone has got several rolls of printer paper they'll never be able to use !!!..**** HAPPENS!!!!
