Default Ignition Swich removal 2004 Ultra

My spot lamps are not working. I have pulled them both and they ohm out fine. I have also checked the wiring harness behind the headlight, and checks good.

How does the ignition switch ****/lock get removed so I canohm the spot toggle switch?

Take a look at this. It may help you. http://www.kenandjudy.us/Harley%20Pi...Bars/index.htm
Also, pick up a manual. At some point (like now), you will need it.

I recently had an issue with the acc switch light intermittently flashing on and flickering while riding to work the other morning. When I got back home I removed the batwing fairing and disconnected the switch at the harness and relocated it under the batwing side of the fairing and checked the light before re attaching the switch. What I found was that when that harness is disconnected it also shuts the spotlights off as well. Once I reconnected the factory harness and checked the switch it no longer flashes and the spotlights work once more. I'd check to see if the factory connector beneath the lower fairing cap has become dislodged. You'll need to remove the batwing and you can also remove the two torx screws that hold the lower cap on but you can move it enough to reach the connector. I'm surprised Harley put the connector there since it's prone to vibration and it isn't held to anything to counter the vibes which can loosen the connection. Now it's zip tied to another wiring loom and no more flickering light which is quite annoying while riding at 3 am to work. Hope this helps ya ...

Swith is relatively easy to get apart, but be certain that you do not move the cams, before you try to reassemble it.

A small pick/screwdrive will release the cover.
