RE: The Ultimate Motorcycle – Goggles Required
Finally, the flying vehicle I read about as a child. LOL I wonder what would be required by law to fly/ride one of those? Seems like it would be awesome, but I wouldn't want to be the first to own one. LOL And assembly required? That has to have a safety concern for me. Miss a critical bolt, and drop like a rock. Splat.

That machine is based on plans that I remember as a "Benson Gyro Copter" They are easy to build. I believe you can get a "pleasure Pilots" license with a little instruction.
I believe it would be classified by the FAA as an UltraLight aircraft and would not require an Aircraft Mechanic Certificate to work on it. It is about as simple maintenance wise as an old VW.
It is not a new technology, they have been in existance for many years. My aircraft maintenance class in High School had one we worked on and I have not been in high school since around the early 80's.
Google Benson Gyro Copter and I believe you will find plenty information on it.
If you want me to hunt down further info on it,PM me and I will see what I can dig up.
