I bought a pair of Harley deerskin gloves last winter and highly recommend them for riding down to 40F. They are not bulky and are very warm and comfortable.

We just bought a set of Thinsulate "3-finger mitten" type gauntlets that are sold by Patriot Guard Store. Only $28...I figured they'd be good enough, since we don't get a lot of really cold weather in Alabama. I was really surprised at how nice they are!

i usually pee in my wet suit to keep warm, try that in your latex gloves.
HaHa I do the same in a wet suit. I recommend trying in the latex glove! Latex won't breath, so it will stay in there and your body heat will keep it warm. Hands just might get wrinkled after a while!

I endorse the Harley Windshielder gloves. I have had a pair for about ten years and they are the warmest and most comfortable motorcycle gloves that I have ever owned. I tried a pair of Harley FXRG gloves and they were not as warm and cost much more ($120 vs $75). Wearing silk or polypropylene glove liners under your gloves when it is below freezing might also help but I have not needed them with the Windshielders.
