I just picked up a set of these yesterday and rode in this morning at 43deg. with no cold fingers.

Check out the Olympia Cold Throttle gloves.
Granted, we don't get much ofa winter in TX, but these things have been the best cold-weather riding glove I've ever owned...and I've been through a few.
I bought mine at a local bike shop, so I have no experience buying from the following link.

I've ridden with these gloves in less than 40F temp in a downpour. My hands stayed both warm AND dry wearing these gloves. This was on my old bike, with no fairing or shield...my hands were exposed. In those conditions I wear a full-face helmet, and that rubber shield wiper on the thumb (see pic on link above) really works to keep the shield clean during rain.
Olympia makes other gloves, but the Cold Throttle provided the best protection without being bulky. I got mine at the shop for $35. Far cheaper than the HD gloves.

Last year my last ride was 19 degree's,still had the half helmet on,fingerless HD gloves,fingers probally would have been cold if i jumped up on the highway,but i really didnt have much of a problem riding at that temp,but......... i also work outdoors year round,usually only put gloves on when my hands might go into the snow trying to remember where i set my chainsaw down,lol or get wet
i'm thinking of some gauntlet gloves for this year,local leather shop where i bought my jacket and chaps from ,also sells deerskin gauntlet riding gloves for around $40.00-$50.00. they usually have a booth at the fair and sell there gloves for around $29.99 during the fair,thats at the end of the month so.... i wait till then
